- Wood is a natural raw material.

- Economical in terms of strength-to-weight ratio.

- Rapid production process.

- Good stacking properties.

Wood packaging is the most current and leading packaging method in product packaging that has come from the past to the present. It is still heavily used today. Besides the traditional properties of flexibility and durability of materials made from wood, advantages such as partial or complete repairability, quick biodegradation of residues in nature, emerge. Wood packaging covers various products such as all kinds of wooden pallets, wooden crates, OSB boxes and crates, plywood boxes and crates.

Since the 80s, Turkey has witnessed an increasing export volume, especially in some sectors, and during the 90s and 2000s, diverse industries have seen an increase in exports. To be able to sell products to the world, it is essential that your product reaches customers as high quality and intact. Companies that understand this well use wood packaging (wooden boxes, wooden pallets) for their shipments due to its durability, lightness, and cost-effectiveness, ensuring that their products are secured inside containers and maximizing the volume of the shipments.

In wood packaging production, the needs of each customer may vary. The important thing is to fully understand the customer\'s needs. Therefore, to create the most suitable wood packaging for each product, working on the product and taking detailed measurements is necessary. In addition, to develop effective wood packaging, additional wooden profiles, wooden spacers, and wooden posts for securing need to be considered. Decisions are made on the types of boxes such as closed wooden crates, OSB closed crates, grid (cage) crates, and crane-equipped crates based on mutual agreement and the ability to meet the customer needs in the fastest way, as well as being the most suitable in terms of cost.

The hygiene of wooden packaging is also better than plastic boxes. The number of bacteria accumulated in a unit area is much less compared to equivalent plastic pallets and boxes. It is known that the COVID-19 virus survives for a shorter time on wood compared to plastic and metal boxes.

It is also preferred more due to production speed and price compared to other types of packaging.

Euro Pallet is a type of pallet with forklift entry on two sides that supports products for stacking and shipping to their destination. The standard size is 800x1200 mm.

ISPM 15 (International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures) outlines the phytosanitary measures required to reduce the risk of infestation and spread of harmful organisms associated with wood packaging materials used in international trade. It involves heat treatment in kilns, where wood is heated to a core temperature of 56 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes to eliminate harmful insects and larvae from the wood.

Wood is an organic building material with a fibrous, heterogeneous, and anisotropic structure derived from trees, which are living organisms. Wood is one of the oldest construction materials used by humankind for shelter and protection since ancient times. In modern times, factors such as the reduction of forests due to various reasons, inability to replace or slow growth of trees, have increased the value of wood. Wood is used as roofing elements, joinery and cladding material, as well as a structural and decorative material in molds and scaffolds. Additionally, there are artificial wood-based materials like plywood, MDF, and particleboard produced from wood waste such as chips, shavings, and dust. The term \"lumber\" refers to wood that has been cut into standardized dimensions.

Wood can regenerate relatively quickly, between 25 to 80 years, making it a renewable resource. The raw materials for bricks, concrete, and steel, on the other hand, can only regenerate after a geological time has passed.

The character of wood varies based on age, environmental factors, how it\'s cared for, and usage preference, while the characteristics of underground minerals remain largely unchanged during human timescales.

In short, wood is renewable, recyclable, environmentally friendly, and has undeniable aesthetic uniqueness. Using products made from consciously harvested wood and young trees planted in their place is a positive action for the planet.
